Even if a team is significantly better than the other one, divisional matchups are just different. The teams and players don’t like each other, and having to meet twice a year only adds more fuel to the fire.
The AFC North is no exception to that rule. Being perhaps the most competitive division in all of football, it’s not easy to get bragging rights over any rival.
Notably, that’s not the case with the Cleveland Browns and Joe Burrow. As pointed out by Nick Karns on Twitter, the Browns have completely owned the Cincinnati Bengals during the Burrow era, with the former No. 1 pick owning a 1-5 record against Kevin Stefanski’s squad.

The graphic adds that no other quarterback has lost more games to the Browns since they returned to action back in 1999.
Granted, the Browns haven’t been much of a powerhouse since they returned, so that stat should be taken with a grain of salt.
Even so, the fact that they’ve found a way to contain one of the best quarterbacks in the game, who also happens to be a divisional rival, is definitely no small feature.
And, considering that Burrow has only lost 22 games in the league thus far only makes it more impressive.
Whether they’ll be able to keep this dominance up for much longer remains to be seen.
