NHL Player Safety has announced that Boston Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Zadorov has received this fine for poking Pittsburgh Penguins star Evgeni Malkin with his stick while on the bench. Malkin responded by swinging his stick toward the Bruins’ bench and hitting Bruins defenseman Mason Lohrei. Because of this, the future Hall of Famer has also been fined $5,000.
