Boston Bruins star Linus Ullmark is the best goalie available on the trade market. Because of this and other goalies off the board, interest in his services are picking up. The Ottawa Senators have been making the biggest push for him, while the Detroit Red Wings are continuing to hang around.
However, a new club has reportedly entered the Ullmark sweepstakes, which certainly will raise the eyebrows of hockey fans.
According to Postmedia’s Bruce Garrioch, the Vegas Golden Knights are also in the mix for Ullmark’s services.
The Golden Knights are currently sporting a strong goaltending tandem of Adin Hill and Logan Thompson. However, as Kevin Weekes recently reported, both netminders are entering their contract years and have generated trade interest.

The Golden Knights are never afraid to make blockbuster trades, and it’s been a huge reason for their immense success. As a result, after losing in the first round, it appears that they could be looking for their next big fish in Ullmark.
If the Golden Knights landed Ullmark, he would give Vegas a true star between the pipes and make them an even more dangerous club in the Western Conference.
When looking at a player who the Bruins could look for in return from Vegas in an Ullmark trade, Shea Theodore stands out. The 28-year-old is currently considered a trade candidate, and he would be a big-time addition to the left side of the Bruins’ defense. In 47 games in 2023-24, he had five goals and 42 points.
We will need to wait and see if the Golden Knights’ interest leads to them being the surprising landing spot for Ullmark from here.
